A man has died on Saturday morning after being shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis. This makes the second killing of a Minnesota resident. About two weeks ago, Renee Good was killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross while in her car.
Brian O’Hara, police chief of the Minneapolis Police Department, confirmed that the victim died about an hour after being shot. The victim’s name is Alex Pretti and he was 37.
A reporter from Bring Me The News who was near the scene said that an agent shot at the man multiple times from just a few feet away. A video circulating on social media appears to buttress this claim. Agents told the reporter that they called 911 immediately.
Another angle of federal agents killing a Minnesota legal observer, which appears to come from the direction of the woman in pink filming from the sidewalk.

A video from another angle that was posted on Reddit shows the federal agents struggling with the victim and even an agent hitting the man multiple times in the head before the first shot.
The Department of Homeland Security is claiming that the shots were defensive because the victim was armed. Chief O’Hara has confirmed that the victim owned a gun legally.
DHS then shared a picture of a gun that they claim they retrieved from the man, but the gun they shared on the pictured had already been taken from the scene.
“I think the video speaks for itself, ” said O’Hara. The victim had a limited law enforcement history that was made up of traffic tickets.
Governor Tim Walz addressed the situation in a press conference and activated the National Guard.
“This federal occupation of Minnesota long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement, it’s a campaign of organized brutality against the people of our state, and today that campaign claimed another life,” he said.
